Northport Security provides professional Technical Surveillance and Countermeasures (TSCM) services for corporations, law firms, executives, and private clients. The firm is led by Marty Vander Vliet, a former FBI Agent and attorney, bringing investigative experience and legal knowledge to sensitive environments.

 

All TSCM inspections are conducted by former FBI Agents using advanced detection equipment designed to identify electronic eavesdropping devices and related surveillance risks.

Marty Vander Vliet, Northport Security’s founder, is a former Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent with over 26 years of federal law enforcement experience. He investigated high profile cases involving bank robberies, violent crime, and narcotics, and also served as an Undercover Agent and SWAT team member.

Marty was certified as an FBI Technical Agent and was responsible for implementing electronic surveillance on hundreds of cases. He then attended and graduated from the Interagency Training Center, and was certified as a Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) expert. This training exposed him to the most advanced eavesdropping technology available.

Marty’s education includes a B.A. from Calvin College in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is also a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through ASIS International.
